ER....is going to know us by name...

One day...last Tuesday to be exact...Dylan and Sammie came running over to me and said that Wesley was bleeding..they looked scared. I knew they were scared becasuae they kept asking me if I needed help and if they could call Dad. I am not afraid of blood...throw up, yes...blood no. Until I saw him that is. Here is what I saw...

Ok so I know that is Carrie..the 1976 movie..but this is what I thought of when I saw him...So much blood! I knew it must be a head wound with so much blood..and the blood kept on coming...After I got him cleaned up..I was able to get a good look at the wound. It was short...but so deep. After I got a second opinion and I could'nt get a butterfly bandaid to stick, we took him in. Meanwhile, Wes was starting to fall asleep. I thought he might have a concusion. He kept saying the rock, the rock. Seems that he threw a rock and it bounced back and hit him in the head..seriously...that the the story he told us and he is sticking to it. I was glad though that the other two kids didn't do it to him!

The wound didn't stop to bleed until after we got to the ER. The doctor took us right in and cleaned up the wound more, shaved wesley's hair, gave him liquid stitch, checked for internal bleeding and a concussion...and sent us on our way. Wesley is a lucky kid and escaped with minor injuries. He saw Red Lobster as we were leaving and asked for crab...so we took him there for dinner. I thought that it wasn't too bad for it being our first ER trip with him..then I remembered....when he was 1 he swallowed a marble and it got stuck...so we raced over to ER..they got it to go down and 1 week later we got the marble back.

I really really think that the ER will know us by name with this kid....

Easter Moments

We were on our own this year for Easter...but we made the most of it anyway. I am big on traditions and making each holiday special..that is what we all remember about them...the tradtions...We dyed eggs, ate good food, candy...oh the candy! The Easter bunny visited us and gave the kids lots of goodies!

the calm before the storm....

The reason why Wesley just isn't quite ready to dye Easter eggs... The loot...

Not the most "put together" picture...but it shows each of their personalities so well! So Carefree...
finding the eggs...
Maybe his last year for the magic...
Wes just can't wait!! I think he ate ALL oif his candy on Sunday...
The table...
Easter is not Easter without a coconut cake.
New addition...Vanilla and strawberry stuffed cupcakes with lime frosting...yes the strawberry is IN the cupcake...hold your applause..lol

Horses

Samantha has a great love for horses. And luckily her aunts have a great love for her. Last Saturday Vanessa took Samantha to go and see Hannah Montana..which I was very very grateful for! After the movie they went ot Taco Bell for lunch and then the big surprise....to go to Vanessa's friends house to go and see the horses! They let Samantha groom them, feed them, walk them, and ride them. She was in heaven! What a great day for her! Thanks V!!!

Guess where we went?!

Sea World!!....I know shocker! We went to Sea World during our Spring Break and had the chance to meet up with my high school friend Jake Beers's wife, kids and Mom. He had school and couldn't make it. It was so great to meet his wife who is so nice, pretty, and funny! I love her sense of humor. She is really great. It is awesome that a good friend found such a great wife and mother for his kids. It was great to see Debbie and to catch up. I haven't seen them for 11 years. I have so many great memories of the Beers family and they were always so great to me! It was great to catch up and to enjoy the day. It was also Debbie's birthday...Happy Birthday!.so we had funnel cake! Yummy! We had a great day at Sea World...and said hi to Shamu!

He is the cutest thing! Can't you just see the joy in his face by being at Sea World??

Shamu rocks!
Luke Beers, Sammie, Dylan, Wesley, and Peyton Beers. The Beers kids are so cute. My kids loved meeting new friends and want to know when they can see them again!

It was MIDNIGHT...

...and I was in Borders in line for my copy of TWILIGHT! I DID NOT preorder...I thought I would not get in on the craze this go around and I didn't HAVE to be the one of the FIRST to get the DVD. I was at my dear friend Patty's and her daughter mentioned that she really wanted to go...one look is all it took...and we were on our way to Border's to pick up our copy. Our GREAT excuse was "Well, we had to take the young girls...they love it and only have one chance to have fun and to be a part of the phenomenon." I texted a few friends...too late for them....texted my sister who dragged my Mom to come. So Borders is very LAME! They had a group of orange and yellow who were smart and preordered the movie...and 100 of us late comers got white tickets. If you didn't have a ticket, then you had to wait for a chance. We ended up with 3 white tickets and thought we had a good shot! We DID ask them how many extras they had and they didn't know...now we got there at 10 pm for the festivities...and then at 11:45 they tell us they only had about 20 extra DVD's for us white ticket holders. Our numbers were 53, 54, and 60...so we were out of luck. ( Now if I was running the store, I would've counted and then passed out only 20 white tickets. Just a thought for next time Borders!! ) We didn't know what to do..we got a text that the Walmart on Moreno Beach sold out...and then Patty had a GREAT idea! BLOCKBUSTER!! There is one on Central...we drove down Central and then realized we were lost....so we turned on Canyon Crest..and we then remembered that Central is a weird street and there the two met...in front of BLOCKBUSTER! It looked a bit dark and maybe not even open...I ran in and they had BOXES of TWILIGHT! No one knew they had it...so we ALL got a copy and we ALL went home happy. Watched it. Loved it. And learned that next time...just go to Blockbuster!...and it IS ok to preorder!!

Amanda and her friends that BEGGED us to go...how can you let them down?

For real....an EDWARD ACTION FIGURE...now I am in on the craze just as much as anyone! But really..an action figure? I do not know of any 7 year old boys who are into this??

Mom, V, and her friend Ashley waiting patiently with us in the cold..yes it was cold in So Cal! (:

Patty and I...12 midnight...it was past our bedtime! (: haha

We were standing by the window...and saw them..I was surprised the window wasn't smashed and the girls raided them...

Blockbuster even had teeth for all of us! They were a bit surprised to see all of us running in there to see if they had any more!..BOXES!

V with her NEW prized possession!

Blockbuster came through!
