Another attempt

I tried again to see if I could create a most fabulous cake...I think I did pretty well. It was David's sisters birthday. Kim was turning 40 and coming out to be with us and go to Oak Glen. I thought for her 40th she deserved a nice cake. I made a chocolate cake with raspberry filling. Kim loves the Nightmare before Christmas, so I made Jack the Pumpkin King. She loved it..it was yummy..and I will keep trying...is it Ace of Cakes worthy?? lol (: I wish!!

Family Tradtions

Every year, we go to OAK GLEN to enjoy the cool weather and to get an apple pie! They are the best! Well, this year it was hot, busy..not such a secret spot anymore, and we had a blast with David's Mom and Dad, Sister Kim and her son Lucas..Here are our adventures in Oak Glen in pictures...and again..I do not know how I got them all messed up and not looking organized...oh well...at least I blogged it!

Our Scouter!!

Great Job Dylan..on your way to getting your BEAR!!! Keep up the great work!

See...we are good parents!

And we took Wesley to Sea World! HALLOWEEN at Sea World! What a fun time! However we went on a Saturday with the rest of San Diego. And we didn't know that it was the first day of the events for the month..so there were crowds..but we had a blast!!
On the Sea World website, they had these masks to download so everykid would be a little dressed up for trick or treating. All I did was download them, print them, add string, add glitter..and I was done! Well I was offered money and everyone wanted to know where to buy them. I thought they were ghetto before we got there, and by the end of the day I was proud of them! haha (:

This was the cake that the Chef of Sea World..whoever he is made! It was amazing! And then they served cake! They cut the cake for the cameras and then they pulled out the sheet cakes already cut and served them to the crowd. (and I relized how we have learned how to pull events off from church functions)It was a yummy cake!

Wesley loved meeting Shamu..and didn't want to take his eyes off of him, he loves him

They decorated the whole park and they had a trick or treat bag for ALL the kids that came into the park...here was the problem...They planned on several thousand..but they were about 5,000 short. They pulled it off and the kids loved it!

I do NOT like the normal Sea Lion show..it is stupid..sorry but it is! But the one in the summer nights and the new Halloween one is great! They had spoofs on alot of the top horror flicks..our favorite was the THRILLER one...it was great!

Who is the SUGAR DADDY?? David is so great at winning games and getting lots of tickets in the machines. He watches the rythym of the game and gets in sync. I can't do it..I have no rythym. So this trip..this was the prize, the sugar daddy hat...all of us took a turn, but I think it looks best on Dave!

Wesley wouldn't wear the hat..but he did pose this great pose that is starting to be the norm lately...funny kid!

The Hoodie squad! I looked over and saw that they all had the same thing on! Some of us were getting tired and not wanting to say cheese for Mom...

The flamingos..another fun Halloween thing they did!

Dylan thinking his is a rockstar...up close and personal to Shamu rocks! We sit in the front row in the center section of the stadium..it is the best seat and we rarely get wet!

Gorgeous Samantha! I think she looks like her mother! (:

Wesley...patiently...as patient as a 2 ear old can get...watiting for the show!

Grandma and Grandpa Grogan...they were not so sure about where we sat, but we knew it was the best seat in the house!

Me and my two oldest kids...love them! They are the best!

Shamu looks like he is about to eat us..Wesley loved it!!!

Have I mentioned....

...that Wesley LOVES Shamu?? (: he watches this DVD about once a day..and that is if we are busy and need to do things, otherwise he would be watching it ALL day!
