Caldwell Nights...

I am so grateful that I get the paper out here in Idaho...it is packed with things to do all over the Treasure Valley. So I look all week to see what is new and what is coming. Caldwell Nights Rodeo was last week and of course, when the kids heard, the really wanted to go. We went to the Nampa Rodeo...and Caldwell has a professional one too. Between the two, Nampa wins. Nampa was more family oriented, it is indoors, and it is cheaper. But Caldwell was still fun! Sammie even got a hot pink "real" cowgirl hat...pics will be posted soon!

This cowboy actually won his event...he was so awesome!
Wesley fell asleep watching and took a cat nap and then had so much energy!!

Samantha was in heaven and enjoying the rodeo so much! She is a cowgirl at heart!

The Chuckwagon.

The Grogan clan is turning into such hicks! But we are enjoying the transformation! We were told to go the the Chuckwagon feast that is once a year when Caldwell has their rodeo...so of course when food is involved...we listened. The event was at the college near the rodeo.

Crookham farms plants corn just for this event every year and donates all of it to the chuckwagon event. The money that is made goes to the youth of Caldwell. They served a pulled pork sandwich, salad, potatoes, corn, cake, and soda.
I have never had corn fresh off the stalk...off the farm...YUM!!! And the good news was....it was all you can eat! The kids loved it too! No salt or butter was needed, it was that yummy!

The singing Mayors....the mayors of Caldwell and Nampa...and yes they really are the mayors and yes they perform at events all over the valley.
The kids even made friends...

I <3 him!!

Wesley is the cutest kid...sorry but he is. { I guess I am a bit biased (: } He was listening to music in the car one afternoon with us and I turned my head toward him and saw him singing and enjoying the fresh air. He is the funniest kid! He finds joy in everything!

This is for my Dad

We were driving down the road in Boise and saw these huge Eagles flying around...and we watched them fly to their nest. Dave thought it was very cool and thought my Dad would've thought so too. It is amazing to see all the wildlife here...it is everywhere...quail, deer, peacocks, fish, not so wild..cows, horses, etc.

Coupon Class!

I was excited when Sarah, creator of the Thrifty Mom decided to do another coupon class. It was a fun night. I learned a little bit more about how to get more out of my money and to be more frugal. There were about 80 women there to learn her system and how to use coupons in the most effective way. Sarah and I even carpooled over to the Marriott for the class. (: It was fun to get to know her a little bit more.

This lady looking at the camera...crazy...I was just taking pics of the whole room...Sarah and I made sure we were'nt followed when we left...crazy...she is Sarah's biggest fan. (:
