So blessed!!

And here we are..the New Year. I am so looking forward to 2010!! Anything has to be better then last year! (; We have so much to look forward to this year AND we are so blessed! I am a very lucky girl!!

A tree...a great snow...and festival of lights!

As we waited for ourhouse to close, we were at David's parents house. The kids and I put together the Christmas tree...and for what the kids knew...this was going to be our family tree for the year. It was decorated in teal and silver and was very pretty!

We finally got a GREAT snow! A snow that STUCK! We actually needed to shovel our driveways, but still not like all the snow we got back East! We had fun!!...especially the kids!

We had a great idea to go to the festival of lights in Boise at the Botanical Gardens. Our friends the Bryants decided to join us. Things I did not think of...it snowed and was freezing, it was at night, and we were going to be outside. The will of wanting to go was greater than common sense this year. lol (:
By one of the many fires...
It looks so fun and inviting doesn't it....

We quickly walkeed through and we quickly left. It was such a bummer. It really was so beautiful and in theory would have been fun. Even if we had no kids, we would have lasted the same amount of time. We were frozen! Hey at least we tried!!! (:

After we warmed up...

...we made Gingerbread houses...well we made graham cracker houses. We had a great time! I love doing this at Christmas time, and the kids always take pride in their homes! (: Thank goodness for Winco and their candy bins!! It was very cheap and very fun!! I am grateful for family Christmas traditions!

The Main Street Electrical Parade....

...is what we as Califorians know! We found out that the City of Caldwell does a ight parade at night for Christmas. So we thought..hey lets go! Of course deep down we knew that we have been spoiled by Disneyland and the effects of Hollywood...but you never know right?! Well, we FROZE and it was ok. We had a blast and will go again...if we forget how cold we were! (: Overall, it was such a neat thing that they do and to get the community out to support each other. And they celebrated the birth of the Savior! What a great thing!! We went with our friends the Settle's and had a great time!
My HOT hubby and me!...my face is red beacuse I was FROZEN!!

Dylan was the Explorere of the week at school....in December. IT is like being student of the month just called something different here. They give the kids certificates, a bag full of goodies, their picture taken and posted in school, and lunch with the principal and parents if they want to come and join them. It was so fun to be there for Dylan! He excells at everything he does! He is such a great kid and treats others well. We are soproud that he is our son! Keep up the great work!!
