Viva La Vida!!

We went to Coldplay!! It was David's father's day gift. The concert was sold out and packed! We have been to several concerts and always enjoyed them. Coldplay is great live! They put on a really good show. During the first encore, they went through the crowd and up in the nose bleeds to do two songs. And then ran back throguh the crowd. We were on the side of the stage front row of the nosebleeds. They were actually good seats. And of course you are not allowed to bring a camera in,I took out my batteries before we went in but I could'nt resist takng a few pictures! They didn't turn out that great. It is hard taking pictures of movement in the dark. I loved the concert! I love Coldplay live! I loved who I was with! It rocked!!

The crazy that is the 4th of July!!

Our 4th of July tradition is to go to Oceanside beach and enjoy the morning, afternoon and night there....along with everyone else!! (:

We escape the heat by seeing the 4th of July blockbuster...this year it was not hot and overcast and so we didnt see any movies. We didnt feel the urgency to escape the sun...so now we are all sunburned.

Wesley loved the water and I was surpried that he wasnt scared to jump in! He loved it when the waves rolled up and his feet got stuck in the sand. What little wonders will do for kids.

Dylan took the boogie board out and caught several waves..he got pretty good by the end of the day. And then he enjoyed collecting several sandcrabs that he thought to take home...no way that was happening!!(:

Samantha enjoyed her day by running up and down the shore and making new friends. Then she started on her sand castle creations...though the waves had other plans for her.

Some of our friends decided to be be daring and join us. We had a blast with everyone! After dinner we geared up for the fireworks..and then the fog rolled in...we heard them this year instead of seeing them. The whole point is the fireworks on the ocean. They are amazing! I felt bad that our good friends came and confronted the crowds with us...and then a bummer of an end. Luckily we all had a great day..so it wasnt too bad. So this year we heard and imagined.

We had a great day and hope that all of you had a great 4th of July as well!

Tag you are it!!

Thanks Amy!! haha (:
Just curious about how you picked your kids names and the stories behind those names. I know, random right? I don't have anything better to do and I didn't post much in June.
This is how we came up with our kids names!

Dylan James: Dave liked the nickname DJ for a boy and wanted it somehow. So we went through the "D" names and we didnt agree on very many..except Dylan. I always liked it too. It sounded good with James..another name I always liked. So in our "rush" to get Dylan here we had very little time and Dylan was it! And it fits well.

Samantha Aisling: We always knew if we had a girl we would name her Samantha...and we liked Jordyn at the time as well. When we were in Ireland we had a waitress at a pub named Aisling..and I loved it the moment I heard it! I figured everyoen would call her Ashley so we put it as her middle name.

Wesley Dublin: I think we have a thing for the Irish!! Dave wanted WEs to be named Dublin and I was for it until I got pregnant and said no way! But as a middle name..thats cool. We didnt name him until 10 hrs of being born. We had mentioned Wesley about 3 months prior but never thought of it again. Until hour 9 and when Dave said it I knew that was his name. We went through a ton! And we couldnt agree on anything until then. I still think Dave wasnted Dublin as the first name and just gave up on me! haha (:

Universal Studios

We met up with Kim and Lucas and had a great time!! Wesley loved seeing Curious George and Spongebob. Dylan and Samantha faced their fears and went on Jurassic Park the Ride and on the Mummy ride...they have discovered that rollercoasters are fun!! The new Simpsons ride rocks! it is a simulated ride but you are surounded 360 by a screen and so you really feel like you are on a ride.

2008 Girls Camp

Last year was my first year back at girls camp since I graduated high school. So about ten years. I was privileged to be able to go back again this year and be up there for Bishops night. I love being up in Big Bear and at that camp. It was fun to see "my" girls up there and to be able to share a part of the camp expierence with them. It is a special place and I will always remember my expierences there. Dave was able to go up there with me and be a PAC for the night. And I stayed at the slumber party as a MAC. Needless to say,w e were very very tired. This was the last year for my sister Vanessa..the last of the Campbells. My Dad, Mom, and sister Jessica were all able to go up there for the "last year"
