Potty Training Day 3

I should've seen it coming! Just when I am feeling good about things and think that this kid will get it easier and I will coast through it...disaster hits! Today Wesley woke up coughing and diaherra...so there is NO way he will be doing the diaper less thing today. Poor kids..he creid when I put a diaper on him...he really wants to go like a big boy!

Potty Training Day 2

We did good today!...well Wesley did good. haha He was in underwear all day and we even went out for a bit. I know..RISKY! I think he may have it! At least I hope he does. He loves sitting on his Cars toilet seat insert...very fun for him...

Potty Training Day 1

I have two strikes against me:
Strike 1: Wesley is the BABY of the family
Strike 2: Wesley is a BOY

I don't have three strikes..so there is hope. Today so far...no leaks...but it is Day 1 and I haven't gotten lazy yet. Wesley loves getting his reward...Red Vines, his choosing. And he has Thomas the Train and Cars underwear. I hope it will continue to be smooth sailing....

Lego Man

the good news...the colors were spot on perfect to the Lego brand Lego Man, the cake was yummy!, the birthday boy liked it!, and the Lego man was perfect in shape.

the bad news...I am still learning and did not compensate for the HEAT! I am still learning how to make my fondant adjust to the weather. The fondant was put on the cake and it was perfect...smooth...and I was very excited how it was turning out. Then the HEAT came into play..my fondant started to melt off...it became too heavy. So I have figured out how to make that not happen again. The lego man was perfect in shape...just the fondant fell a bit.

I hate it when I go to do something and it doesn't turn out perfect..so frustrating!! But till next time! I guess everyone has to learn and start somewhere...even the GREATS mess up right?!? (:

Date Festival and the Post of many pics

Every year while David was growing up his family would go to the Date Festival in Indio, CA. It was a tradition of theirs because David's Mom grew up there and she would sing in the pageant and her Mom would have a pork sandwich stand to make money. They would always participate. Even while David was a kid, his Mom would sing in the pageant. We continue to tradition with our family and really have a lot of fun when we go! this year we stayed for a comic who was a German man..and very funny. Then we stayed for the pageant and the concert...

Dylan, Grandma, and Sammie with Clifford Plummer. Claudia taught him voice lessons and he works in the Palm Springs area performing now. He was in the pageant as a main character.

The kids really wanted to go down the super slide...and Dave said I should go and then the kids made me go too. It is a dark picture but we are there. The scary part was walking up the steps and then getting on the platform to get on the slide. It was rickety and shaky...too much for me!

4 goldfish....still a waste of time and money....but the kids love it!

In high school I liked several bands. One of them was the Gin Blossoms..they had a few songs that were ok. They were the concert this night. We went and about 5 minutes into it Dylan says, "Mom can we go...you are old, this is old music...lets go." So we went...
